too many issues with the valve
After several trials that included 3 replacements of the cartridge that attaches to the rough valve, it finally stopped dripping. Delta should up their quality control since we got two of these cartridges bad, one after another. The 3rd one finally worked.
Since their shipping is 10-14 biz days it took us over a month to get to the point we demanded an expedited shipping, which was done in 2 biz-days.
In summa: not so much Q&A is going on at Delta as far as I can attest. Besides that, the rest of the apparatus works and looks great.
More news: the dripping came back with vengeance. The rough valve is indeed defective and now we have to redo the shower from the back-wall costing us more money that the valve is worth. This is a bad product and I would not recommend it to anyone. Too many issues with the simple part that would be best if sold as a unit and tested /qa before reaching the consumer.

Exactly as advertised!
A long term project on my second floor is incorporating a third bathroom with a shower. I'm a pretty good carpenter, electrician, craftsman, but have terrible luck with plumbing for some reason! However, this part, and Delta's site, were exactly what I needed, and everything fit and worked exactly as advertised, much to my relief! No issues, and I'd recommend it to everyone.
Works good, lasts a long time!
Ordered two of these for a two bathroom remodel. My plumber says they're great and he has them in his own home---that counts for something. They come with a plastic piece that enables the plumber to set the fixture so that the trim will sit flush with the tile that will be installed later.
