Defective
I installed the battery, but wasn't able to close the unit as the alarm kept going off. Eventually, I returned the product because it was defective.

I purchased the alarm as to fill our above ground pool without either checking on it every 15 minutes or forgetting about it. The process takes a few hours.

I heard the alarm sound when water met the sensor. I will use the sensor again next year.
save yourself
This is not much expense to say the least for the protection. I replaced the carpet in my basement twice due to faulty sump pumps. Sediment built up sticking the float and even tho i was home at the time i never heard the alarm. The alarm on this is deafening. I manually stopped the float and the alarm instantly sounded off. If i'd found this earlier i could have saved tons of cash and a major headache. RECOMMEND!!!!!
